
Notice of Annual Meeting of the Scottish Studies Foundation and Scottish Studies Society
This will be a Virtual Meeting taking place by Zoom at 1 p.m. EDT on Saturday, March 21, 2026
Dear fellow members,
As a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization, we are required to hold an annual meeting of members and so in order to fulfill our requirements the Board has once again decided to hold this year's meeting virtually using the Zoom teleconferencing system. We hope that this virtual meeting will encourage Canada-wide and international participation and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible online. If you would like to join the meeting, please register beforehand by sending me an email and I will provide you with the appropriate Zoom instructions and any other pertinent information.
A charity such as ours depends on our volunteers and so we are always on the lookout for fresh ideas. Therefore if you, or someone you know, would be interested in serving on our Board of Directors, please get in touch as we would be delighted to hear from you.
Please note that the Foundation's by-laws allow for a total of 10 directors including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Secretary. The Society's by-laws allow for a total of 12 directors including President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Should you wish to serve on the board of directors please let us know prior to the meeting in order for us to include your name on the list of candidates for election.
